Raisa Appears At Babyface Concert Performs Heartbroken Ballad Song

Raisa appeared as a Babyface collaborator at a concert titled With Love From BRI Presents Babyface Live in Jakarta 2025 which was held at the Ancol Beach City International Stadium (BCIS), North Jakarta on Saturday, October 25 evening.

In his appearance, Raisa performed three numbers written by Babyface and popularized Toni Braxton, namely How Could an Angel Break My Heart, Breathe Again, and You Mean the World to Me.

"I think it would be nice to perform some of the songs I wrote specifically for women. And it would be nice to start this part by doing something a bit different than usual," Babyface said before allowing Raisa to get on stage.

And actually, I'm going to start this part with one song that you might already know. But, I'm going to ask someone for help, continued the 66-year-old musician, which was then greeted by the crowd's screams.

Raisa looks elegant with her dress and loose hair. Her appearance on stage made the audience hysterical. The broken heart ballad entitled How Could an Angel Break My Heart was performed in a duet.

Meanwhile, How Could an Angel Break My Heart which was released in 1997, is a broken heart ballad that depicts a sense of betrayal in love.

This song tells the story of a woman who doesn't believe that a loved one who is considered perfect like an angel turns out to hurt her.

Without saying much, Raisa continued her appearance with Breathe Again, the iconic heartbreak ballad that Toni Braxton first released in 1993.

This song depicts the fear of losing someone who is loved so much about losing love that makes a person lose direction, lose the meaning of life, and struggle to accept reality.

Turning from a heartbreak ballad, Raisa closed her duet with Babyface through the song You Mean The World to Me, which Braxton released in 1994.

The lyrics of the song contain sincere and vulnerability love expressions.

Different from Braxton's broken-hearted songs, the song depicts a deep love for someone who means a lot even being the center of his life.

Raisa didn't talk much when appearing on stage. Only one sentence he said when he left the stage, "Thank you."

Meanwhile, Babyface praised Raisa's performance that night. "It was amazing, really amazing," he said.
