KISS Legendary Guitarist Death, Ace Frehley Investigated By Authorities

JAKARTA - Authorities have started an investigation into the death of Ace Frehley, the guitarist and co-founder of the iconic rock band KISS.

As is known, Ace Frehley breathed his last at Morristown, New Jersey, USA on October 16. He died at the age of 74.

In an official statement shared by his family, Ace Frehley, also known as Persona Spaceman, reportedly died "calmly and surrounded by family" after experiencing a "fall in his house".

However, the exact cause of death has not yet been clearly announced.

Meanwhile, hours before the sad news broke, a report emerged stating that Frehley was in a condition of life apparatus after experiencing a brain hemorrhage in the studio in September.

The incident also forced him to cancel all planned live show schedules for 2025.

Now, according to a TMZ report, it is stated that the examining medical officer in New Jersey has launched an investigation into the guitarist's death.

Representatives from the Morris County Medical Audit Office also confirmed that although the autopsy was not carried out, Frehley is currently undergoing external body tests and toxicology screening.

The results of this toxicology screening are expected to be completed in the next few weeks, and after that the real cause of death will only be conveyed to the public.

For information, Ace Frehley, who was born in New York City in 1951, co-founded KISS in 1973 with Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, and Peter Criss.

After a career for almost a decade, Frehley left the band to pursue a solo career, which was also fueled by his fight against substance abuse and increased internal tensions over the direction of KISS music.

After leaving KISS, Frehley formed a new band called Frehley's Comet and then rejoined KISS for their 1996 reunion, which later lasted until 2002.

However, Frehley is known to have not participated in the KISS world farewell tour in 2022.

During his time at KISS, Ace Frehley helped write a number of classic songs, including 'I Was Made For Lovin' You', 'Rock And Roll All Nite', 'Detroit Rock City', and Love Gun.
