YOGYAKARTA Celebrating Cultural Day 2025, the Ministry of Culture held the Nusantara Cultural Arts Stage which took place at the March 1 General Attack Museum, Yogyakarta. The event, which was held on Saturday, October 18, featured the diversity of traditional arts from 23 Cultural Preservation Centers (BPK) from Aceh to Papua.
Carrying the theme Cultural Diversity of the Archipelago', this stage is a space for expression across regions. Traditional dances, music, and art flow from Sumatra to Papua. From Keroncong Stambul Music Fajar, Campo Developers of Mendanau Island by BPK Region V (Jambi'Bangka), to Ta'a Dance from BPK Region XVI (NTT) which describes the encounter of three women from different cultures in Flores.
Another highlight came from the Rapa'i Geleng Dance from Aceh, Tidalu (Chingoa-Dayak-Melayu) Dance presented by BPK Region XII West Kalimantan, to the E'mambo Simbo Dance from Papua, the Maddoja Bine Dance from South Sulawesi, and the Balada Cendrawasih Dance from West Papua. Each appeared with the uniqueness of the region which emphasized the pluralistic face of Indonesia.
Not only dances, martial arts demonstrations and traditional music were also present. There are Pencak Silat Maung Bodas from West Java, Debus Banten, Dhol fire music from Bengkulu, and Kolintang from North Sulawesi. Intang cultural heritage such as Pantun also appeared through the drama Complaints by BPK Region IV (Riau 'Riau Islands', which UNESCO has recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritage.
