JAKARTA - House of Indonesiana (HOI) Week 2025 is a tangible manifestation of cross-border collaboration between Indonesia and South Korea through culture.

Held for two days at Main Atrium 360 KOREA 360, Lotte Mall Jakarta on October 15 and 16, this event featured the work of HOI training participants from Jakarta and Makassar as well as introduced new training centers in Badung, Jambi, Cirebon, and Sikka.

HOI itself is a cooperation program of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Indonesia with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea in the form of intensive training to produce digital creative content.

Deputy Minister of Culture (Wamenbud) Giring Ganesha in his opening speech at HOI Week 2025 said that this event could not be separated from the similarities between the spirit of Indonesia and South Korea in terms of cultural collaboration.

"This event is a symbol of harmony between two countries that both love art, culture and creativity," said Giring.

According to Giring, South Korea has succeeded in showing that culture can become an economic power as well as an important part of diplomacy. This feels good to share with young people in Indonesia, given its great cultural potential.

We are grateful that Korea is willing to share its experiences in building a creative industry that is resilient, innovative, and technology-based and collaborative. We also see how South Korea expands its global cultural network. This spirit is what we want to grow more Indonesian creative talents through the House of Indonesia program," said the Deputy Minister of Culture.

Indonesia itself has extraordinary cultural wealth. We have hundreds of regional languages, more than 17,000 islands, various ethnic groups, and countless cultural expressions. With all of this, the true power of Indonesian culture lies in the strength of its community, ranging from small local groups in villages, cities, art studios, schools, to digital spaces where young people can work," continued the Deputy Minister of Culture.

"Therefore, we hope that the House of Indonesiana and other programs from the Ministry of Culture will continue to focus on empowering communities and local talents," he added. Through House of Indonesiana Week 2025, we are preparing Indonesian talents to become an important part of the global cultural network.

Furthermore, Giring stated that the Ministry of Education and Culture believes that cross-cultural collaboration not only connects tradition, but also creates new ideas that are fresher, stronger, and more relevant to today's global world.

"I hope this program will continue to develop, reach more areas, have more young talents, and have more opportunities for collaboration with Korea," Giring said.

"Through collaboration, we learn each other, work together, and grow stronger as art partners and part of humanity and the big family of mankind," he concluded.

In addition, Park Soo Deok as Deputy Ambassador of South Korea to Indonesia also believes that HOI Week 2025 is an important program to show collaboration between the two countries.

"It is an honor for me to be able to attend the House of Indonesiana Week today. This program is a tangible manifestation of the cooperation between Korea and Indonesia. This program aims to show Korea in developing the ecosystem as well as encouraging collaboration with Indonesia," said Park.

He continued, what was presented at HOI Week 2025 not only showed the technical abilities and creativity of the participants, but also the spirit of cross-cultural collaboration which was at the heart of this project.

"We hope that this series can provide wider opportunities for young Indonesian creators to participate and continue to grow," he said.
