Eloy Casagrande Gives Hard Code Of New Album Slipknot

JAKARTA - Iowa's metal band, Slipknot, is reportedly working on new musical material. Good news for the Maggots "as fans" was revealed directly by their new drummer, Eloy Casagrande.

Meanwhile, news of the new work of Slipknot emerged after previously the guitarist, Jim Root, in May said he had completed six arrangements for an album.

Now, Casagrande is providing a more definite update. In his latest interview with Drummer's Review, he confirmed that the band was working on new music.

"We're cooking, we're making some new music, that's for sure," said the 34-year-old drummer.

Although he did not provide specific details, the Brazilian-born drummer added that this creative work had been going on since he officially became part of Slipknot.

"Since I joined the band, we've been working on some new ideas," he added. "We keep exchanging guitar riffs, drum beats, so we're always doing something. We're also holding some jamming sessions."

Furthermore, Casagrande asserted that they already have a lot of material to serve.

"So, we have a lot of material right now. We just need to sit down and put everything together, start jamming, and that's happening. It's already happening. It will happen in the future. So, new material will come. Definitely," he concluded.

Since releasing the album The End So Far in 2022, Slipknot has not released a new album.

They had teased fans with a new song titled 'Long May You Die', which was recorded shortly after Casagrande joined Slipknot in early 2024. But until now, the song has not been officially released.
