Afgan Willing To Change New View Angle With 'glasses'

JAKARTA - Singer Afgan returned to Indonesian by releasing a song called Glasses on Friday, October 10. This song is the first single from the seventh album titled Retrospective.

Through this song, Afgan presents the RnB side with Indonesian songs after several years of being dominated by English songs. The glasses have also become one of the characteristics that Afgan has worn since he started his career as a singer.

The song Glasses contains lyrics that tell of someone who wants to change his point of view in order to get the love of the person he likes but the effort does not bear fruit because it leads to the wrong person.

Afgan's voice also fulfills fans' longing for Afgan's songs after seven years.

This song was done with Iqbal Siregar, Petra Sihombing, and Mohammed Kamga. Iqbal brought the initial idea in the form of a melody for the chorus, which was then developed together until it became intact in just two hours.

I made this Retrospective Album as a trip back to my roots, namely Indonesian pop music. For me, Glasses represent that era. During my 15 years of career, I was known for my glasses and pop songs. So symbolically, this single is perfect for opening an album," Afgan said about the song Glasses.

The music video for the song 'Cacamata' directed by Shadtoto Prasetio is dominated by a white background with nostalgia nuances of the 90s minimalist era which is given a fresh modern touch. Yuki Kato became a music video model in the concept of chess.

Meanwhile, Afgan's song and music video for Glasses can be listened to digitally before the Retrospective album which will be released in November.
