5 Years Running, RADAR Spotify Helps Spread Over 1000 Musicians

JAKARTA - Spotify celebrates great achievements through RADAR, a global program dedicated to supporting new talent. Within five years, the program has supported more than 1,000 artists to disseminate their work.

Launched in 2020, RADAR has supported more than 1,000 artists in 180+ countries around the world, helping to form a new generation of global music. RADAR helps musicians by continuing to lift new talents and provide them with various tools to build a sustainable career.

This achievement is a celebration for artists who have developed, as well as seeing potential talents who will shape the future of music.

Since its launch, artists RADAR around the world have been collectively listened to more than 338 billion times and sparked more than 6.5 billion discoveries on Spotify. Songs performed by RADAR artists have also been added more than 1.5 million times to Spotify's global playlists, and have appeared on more than 1.1 billion user-made playlists worldwide since joining the program.

Listeners, wherever they are, want to be part of the artist's journey from the start and RADAR has become a bridge between curiosity and a real opportunity for artists," said Sulinna Ong, Global Head of Music Editorial Spotify.

The RADAR program raises a variety of new artists from various genres and regions. A number of names that have entered RADAR, such as Douchii, Peso Pluma, ENHYPEN, Tems, Tyla, Pink Pantess, and Zach Bryan, have now achieved great success and reach new fan communities around the world through Spotify.

In Indonesia, there are several familiar names included in the RADAR program, including Bernadya, Rony Parulian, Anggi Marito, Tiara Andini, Aziz Hedra, Nadhif Basalamah, White Chorus, Idgitaf, and Salma Salsabil. Indonesian RADAR artists managed to grow rapidly in the months after joining this program.

In addition to growth, Indonesian RADAR artists also continue to make success. For example, Bernadya won Top Artist, Top Song, and Top Album Indonesia on Wrapped Live 2024. Rony Parulian's latest album, First Secret', debuted in the position of #4 Top 10 Albums Global Debut on 7 May 2025. Meanwhile, in 2024 Aziz Hedra through his song Somebody's Pelasure managed to occupy the #1 position in the Viral 50 Global chart.
