JAKARTA - The Indonesian House of Representatives is in the process of speeding up the work on the revision of Law Number 28 of 2014 concerning Copyright (UU Hak Cipta). The new law is requested to be completed within two months.
After a coordination meeting at Commission XIII DPR RI last week, parties such as the Indonesian Voice Vibration (VISION), the All-Indonesian Composition Association (AKSI), the National Collective Management Institute (LMKN), and the Ministry of Law, were again present at today's Hearing Meeting (RDP), Wednesday, August 27.
Ariel NOAH as Deputy Chair of VISI said that his party was asked to register three members to become a team to formulate the revision of the Copyright Law. The three names must be submitted next week.
"Next week, three people will be asked for representatives from VISION to be deployed in the formulation of the revision of the Copyright Law," Ariel told the media crew after the RDP at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta.
Not only that, Ariel and two other VISION members who were present at the Citra Lestari (BCL) and Judika's RDP also conveyed problems that later haunted the singers.

"We just want to say, the corner of the singer has its own worries. I am a singer and songwriter, I can speak out through those two. I want my rights to be accepted, and also my job as a singer. Yes, what are the regulations like so as not to offend other professions," he said.
