Lana Del Rey For The Second Time Delayed And Changed The Title Of Her New Album

JAKARTA - Lana Del Rey surprised her fans again. For the second time, the 40-year-old singer from the US changed the title and release date for her tenth studio album.

Previously, Lana announced her new album as a follow-up to ''Did You Know That There's A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd' the ninth studio album released in 2023' with a focus on the nuances of country music.

Initially, the upcoming album was titled 'Lasso', which is planned to be released in May 2025.

But surprisingly, Lana announced the title of the album changing its title to 'The Right Person Will Stay', while its release is rescheduled for September 2025.

It didn't stop there, in a recent interview with W, the singer, known as the song 'Summertime Sadness', said that the change in the album title to 'Stove', which is scheduled to be released at the end of January 2026.

The album was supposed to be released this spring, but its release was delayed as Lana decided to add six more songs to it.

"The songs are more autobiographical than I thought, and they take longer," Lana said, quoted by W via NME, Wednesday, August 27.

Lana also said that one of the songs on her new album, Star's Fell on Alabama, tells the story of her husband, a crocodile swamp tour guide in Louisiana, Jeremy Dufrene.

"I opened my show with that song," he said, "Jeremy is the most influential person in my life. He is quiet in public, but around me he always talks."

The upcoming album is made with permanent collaborators as well as Bleachers producer and vocalist Jack Antonoff and country music maker Luke Total.

In addition, other details regarding 'Stove' are still unclear. But he said the lyrics of his songs may be lighter than previous albums.

"Maybe I don't have much to say about things that reveal myself like in the 'Tunnel' or 'Blue Blaules' or 'Chemtrains Over The Country Club', and more melos, maybe more American Songbook style?" he said.
