Indra Lesmana Together With ACTION, Piyu And Ari Bias: We Both Support Direct License

JAKARTA - Indra Lesmana's opinion conveyed during a coordination meeting with Commission XIII of the DPR RI last week was in the spotlight of many people. He firmly criticized the license blank system which is not a relevant song but is still used in managing song/music royalties in Indonesia to date.

Indra Lesmana was expected to return when Commission XIII of the Indonesian House of Representatives held a Hearing Meeting (RDP) with the All-Indonesian Composters Association (AKSI), the Indonesian Voice Vibration (VISION), the National Collective Management Institute (LMKN), and the Ministry of Law today, Wednesday, August 27. However, he was unable to attend.

"Mas Indra Lesmana was about to come today, but ran out of plane tickets from Bali," said Ari Bias, a member of the ACTION, when met after RDP in Senayan, South Jakarta.

Even so, Indra Lesmana asked Piyu as the Chair of the ACTION to express her opinion in front of members of the DPR and the parties appointed to be the formulating team for the revision of the Copyright Law.

"Mas Indra came to me (via short message), 'Piyu, I tweeted the issue of unclaimed royalties for non-members (LMK),' said Piyu. So, for those who are not members of the LMK, so that they can be more administratively recorded and not charred (royalty).

Asked further whether Indra Lesmana had joined the ACTION to see the closeness that existed in Piyu had her own story.

Last week, when he entered the DPR together for RDP with Commission XIII, Mr. Indra Lesmana, the contents of the book were present, he was confused when he filled in the representative column. I said 'Just as a member of the ACTION.' Then Mas Indra said, 'ACTION, yes? Well.' Well, it's official," said Piyu.

"Because we both support direct license," concluded Piyu.
