Azel Presents Single Titled Imprisoned As Full Album Opener

JAKARTA - Azel introduced his newest single with the title Imprisoned, a song that is intended to open the upcoming full album.

Imprisoned tells the story of a man who wants to save his partner from a luxurious but meaningless life, which he calls an emotional prison.

"Sometimes people look like they have everything, but deep down in their hearts they feel lonely and trapped. This song is about loving someone who is struggling to be free," Azel said of his new song, in a written broadcast, Sunday, August 17.

By presenting dark nuances and a cinematic dream-pop atmosphere in his new single, Azel wants to bring listeners into a quiet world of hope and unspoken hope.

Abusing vocals and deep production create a strong emotional atmosphere, such as watching someone suffer behind an luxury mask, without being able to touch it, but still don't want to give up.

Azel stated that the production process runs naturally and simply. Everything is made digitally via computer and recorded in the room alone, except for the bass part filled by Yanuari Murdiansah, and mastering by Daniel Fasolli in Bergamo, Italy.

The presence of this song aims for a simplicified musical composition compared to the previous single, Perfect Charm, which sounds complex," said Azel.

Imprisoned is intended as proof of Azel's musical evolution, with a more emotional narrative, a complex soundscape, and deep cinematic nuances.

Single “Imprisoned” ini juga merupakan pembuka jalan menuju album penuh yang dijanjikan akan menjadi karya paling personal dan ambisius secara musikal.

Adapun, foto pada artwork single ini adalah hasil foto analog Azel saat berada di salah satu stasiun di Tokyo, Jepang.

Foto tersebut menggambarkan rumah mewah era tahun 1930-an atau biasa disebut manor dalam bahasa Inggris.

Setelah dilihat lebih jauh, foto manor yang diambil Azel tersebut bentuknya sesuai dengan apa yang dibayangkan tentang dan rasanya cukup merepresentasikan lagunya.

This 'Imprised' single is also the opening path to the full album promised to be the most personal and ambitious work musically.

Meanwhile, the photo in this single artwork is the result of an analog Azel photo while at a station in Tokyo, Japan.

The photo depicts a luxury house from the 1930s or commonly called a manor in English.
