Another letter was typed, printed and sent in 2007 stating that "the killer is still out there and now, due to the haste of the police department, has a chance to claim another victory."
The document also includes two identical responses from the FBI to letters about Cobain's death in 2006.
"Your letter... to the FBI stating your belief that Kurt Cobain was murdered has been referred to me for answer," they said. "We appreciate your concern that Mr. Cobain may have been the victim of a murder. However, most murder investigations are generally within the jurisdiction of the state government
