Badai Layangkan Somasi Open, Halo Entertainment Indonesia Threatened With A Fine Of IDR 900 Million

JAKARTA - The former Kerispatih storm and its attorney sent an open subpoena against Halo Entertainment Indonesia, the music label where Rayen Pono took shelter in 2016-2020.

This subpoena is based on allegations of copyright infringement, in which Hurricane feels his moral rights have been injured because his name is not recorded on songwriter credit on several digital music platforms.

Meanwhile, the problem occurred in the song created by Badai, I Still Love You, which was released by Rayen Pono in 2016.

"I found that it turned out that my song, titled 'I Still Love You', was sung by Rayen Pono and exploited by PT Halo Entertainment Indonesia on several digital platforms, did not include my name as the creator, but included Rayen Pono's name as the songwriter," said Badai to the media crew in Cipete, South Jakarta, Monday, July 28.

"So, the actions taken by PT. Halo Entertainment Indonesia have actually committed violations of moral rights, so that they have committed violations of copyright. Therefore, I through my attorney, namely the Law Office of Minola Sebayang & Partners, have issued a warning," added Badai.

Minola Sebayang as the attorney continued, this action could lead to a fairly large fine. Halo Entertainment Indonesia is threatened with a fine of IDR 900 million.

"As stipulated in Article 112 of the Copyright Law, the fine is Rp. 300 million for one violation," said Minola.

"We'll see this, there were three violations, on three platforms, meaning we just have time, 300 times three, which means IDR 900 million," he added.

Badai dan kuasa hukum memberikan waktu satu minggu kepada Halo Entertainment Indonesia untuk merespon somasi terbuka. Jika tidak ada tanggapan sesuai yang diinginkan, langkah hukum lebih lanjut akan diambil.

"For example, in one week there has been no response, do not continue the agenda of the meeting that has been submitted to us, yes we will talk again with our client, Badai," said Minola.

"If it is then in internal talks we arrive at the decision to take legal action as a form of defending our interests legally. Yes, we will take legal action," he said.

Previously, Badai had reprimanded and sent summons to Halo Entertainment Indonesia twice, but did not receive the desired response.

"The first subpoena was carried out on June 19, 2025, but PT Halo Entertainment Indonesia did not respond," said Badai

The second subpoena was received on July 4, 2025 and only received a response on July 7, 2025. That was also responded after I contacted my friend, former manager Mike Mohede first, his name was Mas Indra," he continued. A few days later I was contacted by a person from Halo Entertainment Indonesia, namely Pak Bombom, via WhatsApp, and it turned out that their response said that they would check, whether there was a mistake or not, and they had made a mistake on the action.
