JAKARTA - The Row Band started a new chapter by overhauling their music concept from EDM (Electronic Dance Music) to pop rock.

Rowman Ungu as leader collaborated with new personnel, namely Bima Wibisono Putra - usually called Bima - (guitar) and Ahmad Sabar Nainggolan or Olland (vocals). This formation has just released a new single entitled Painnya Myself via Afe Records.

"Because this change requires a process and discussion with old and new members as well as a label where we belong, that's why we are here at the end of this year," said Rowman in a written statement received by the editorial desk, Saturday, November 30.

It took less than a year for The Row to prepare their new song. And the shift in musical direction that they do unconsciously becomes a special attraction.

“Having babeh (nicknamed by Rowman Ungu) makes it very easy for us to channel our ideas. With the old-school style of the band's children in general, we proceeded and made a piece for The Row, ”Bima explained the process of making the song Sakitnya myself.

Meanwhile, Olland said that the choice of rock ballad songs as new singles and the introduction of the new formation of The Row were the right choices considering that millennials are more open to accepting music genres.

“Apart from that, no one has yet dared to return to playing the music that we brought. For us this is a void that we can fill for millennial children now, "said Rowman.

The song Painful Myself is the work of all personnel on The Row. This song carries the theme of a breakup, which tells the sincerity of a man who loves a woman, but it turns out that she already has a lover.

"We hope that all Indonesian music lovers, especially fans of The Row, like our new concept and those who have experienced this kind of relationship can enjoy the song," said Rowman.
