JAKARTA - Lewis Capaldi is in the spotlight after returning to the stage through the Glastonbury Festival 20205 which was held this week. The Scottish songwriters appeared as a surprise on Friday, June 27 local time.

Capaldi performed in full for 35 minutes, with the setlist mostly containing his hits. This moment became special, considering his last full appearance before the comeback took place at Glastonbury 2023.

According to Billboard's report, the 28-year-old singer who wrote the song went up to the Pyramid Stage with a boisterous welcome from the audience who shouted his name. He started performing by performing "Before You Go" and "Grace".

"It's great to be back. I won't talk much here because I might start crying. It's amazing being here with you guys and I'm so grateful that you guys have come and seen me," Capaldi told thousands of viewers.

"The second time is luck, huh? Today is just a short performance and to finish what I couldn't finish in the first performance," he added.

Capaldi continued his appearance by performing five other songs. He even performed the 'Survive' for the first time, a new single released that day.

"The last three years hasn't been the best sometimes difficult 'Survive' is about tackling things, and it's my goal to come back here," Capaldi said of his new single.

Capaldi performed "Sonone You Loved", the song he played the most in England of all time, as the last song. He closed in a high tone, shouting, "I'm back again, honey!"

After the show, through his Instagram account, Capaldi expressed his extraordinary feelings after returning to the Glastonbury stage.

"I'm very happy to be back in Glastonbury, thank you so much for inviting me," he said.

For information, Lewis Capaldi chose to take a break from the music stage after his appearance at Glastonbury 2023 because he had to fight back against his band tensions and Tourette syndrome.

Throughout his career, Capaldi has talked about his struggle with Tourette syndrome, a nervous system condition, which according to the National Health Service, causes people to make sudden sounds or do unintentional body movements.

At the end of 2022, he shared his diagnosis in an Instagram post, telling his followers he was learning new ways to deal with it.
