Yoni Dores' Attorney For Many Other Names Potentially Reported Like Lesti Kejora

JAKARTA - Lesti Kejora is the latest name to face a police report related to alleged copyright infringement. The 25-year-old singer was reported by Yoni Dores for performing a cover of his song without permission.

Ilham Suwardi as Yoni's attorney confirmed that the police report had been submitted to Polda Metro Jaya on May 19.

"Regarding the report (on) Lesti Kejora yesterday, yes, as reported. We have made a report at the Polda (Metro Jaya) on May 19, 2025, which is related to copyright infringement," Ilham told the media crew at the South Tangerang Police, Thursday, May 22.

Ilham said that not only Lesti who performed the cover of her client's song without permission. Many other singers do it, and have the potential to be questioned in the future.

"Many (covers without permits). Later (it will be taken care of)," he said.

He did not deny Lesti's big name, so the reason why Rizky Billar's wife was first reported to the police, rather than other singers.

"Now if asked to the general public, the fastest artist he knows is definitely Lesti," said Ilham.

Furthermore, regarding the song created by Yoni Dores which was covered by Lesti, said Ilham, it includes several songs, including Love Is Not A Ship', 'DRY Ratting Body', ' Crocodile ARjuna', and 'Buntung Fruit'.

Ilham said the cover of the songs had been on YouTube for a long time, and a video had even been uploaded since 2017.

"It's been a long time. However, that's still there. And if we don't take steps from this incident until the following years, this will happen again," he said.

By bringing a cover without permission, Ilham said that Lesti's actions showed her desire to get to know Yoni Dores as a songwriter.

"In fact, he sang someone's song but he didn't want to know the person who created the song. Now that's the problem. If he already knows, there must be communication," said Yoni Dores' attorney.

"If you know him, maybe Mr. Yoni herself too, 'Ah, it's not good,' right. But this is because you don't know him at all," he said.
