US Musicians Criticize Donald Trump's Personal Attack On Taylor Swift And Bruce Springsteen

JAKARTA - The American Musician Federation (AFM) expressed its support for Taylor Swift and Bruce Springsteen, two singers who were so harsh in criticizing US President Donald Trump.

In a statement posted on the official Facebook account, Tino Gagliardi as International President of AFM questioned Trump who made personal attacks on the two singers.

The United States & Canada Musician Federation will not remain silent because two of our members Bruce Springsteen, local member 47 (Los Angeles, CA) and Local 399 (Asbury Park, NJ), and Taylor Swift, local member 257 (Nashville, TN) were criticized and personally attacked by the President of the United States, "Gagliardi said, citing a statement on AFM's Facebook account, SSenin, May 19.

"Bruce Springsteen and Taylor Swift are not just brilliant musicians, they are role models and inspiration for millions of people around the world," he added. Whether it's Born in the USA or Eras Tour, their music is eternal, has an impact, and has a deep cultural meaning.

Gagliardi believes that the criticisms that have been sent by Swift and Springsteen are the right to freedom of expression for musicians.

"The musician has the right to freedom of expression, and we stand in solidarity with all of our members," he said.

AFM's stance came after Trump through Truth Social delivered his attacks on the two singers. Against Swift, he said the pop star had started to fade.

"Does anyone realize that since I said 'I WASHING TAYLOR SWIFT', he'S NO LONGER GREAT?" Trump wrote, referring to the post he made last year for Swift's support for Kamala Harris in the US Presidential election.

While the attack on Springsteen was stated after the 'Dancing In The Dark' singer criticized Trump at his concert in England.
