Iwan Fals And Kompak's Wife Call Mother A Good And Influential Iffet

Iwan Fals and his wife visited Slank Headquarters to convey their condolences for the death of Mother Iffet (Ist)

JAKARTA - Iwan Fals visited Slank Headquarters to express his condolences to the family that had just been abandoned by Mother Iffet. The wife, Rosanna, accompanied her.

The arrival of Iwan and his wife was welcomed by Mother Iffet's third child and drummer Slank, Bimbim. In the midst of a sad atmosphere where there were still several bouquets of flowers and benches lined up Iwan expressed his sorrow by hugging Bimbim.

When met by the media crew, Rosanna said that they could only attend because her husband performed outside the city when she heard the news that Mother Iffet had died.

"(We) heard that Mother Iffet died while we were in Solo. There was a Red Gaung concert in Solo," said Rosanna at Potlot III, Duren Tiga, South Jakarta, Monday, April 28.

Iwan Fals' wife said that she had met Mother Iffet for the last time. At that time, her husband ran into the late at the airport.

"The last meeting was a long time ago. Ever on one of the trips, (we) met at the airport," he said.

When asked further about her memories of Mother Iffet, Iwan Fals and his wife compactly called former manager Slank Utu a good and influential figure for many musicians.

"Good mother," said Rosanna.

"If there is no Mother, there is no us," said Iwan.

For information, Mrs. Iffet, whose real name is Iffet Veceha, died at her residence on the evening of Saturday, April 26, after being hospitalized for six days.

Iffet was buried with her husband who died a year earlier at the Tanah Bivak TPU, Central Jakarta on Sunday, April 27 afternoon.
