Rano Karno Calls Bimbim Slank And Mother Iffet Part Of The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government

JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Rano Karno also celebrated Iffet Veceha alias Mother Iffet at the Slank Headquarters funeral home located on Jalan Potlot III No.14, Duren Tiga, South Jakarta on Sunday, April 27.

Rano said that his presence was to represent the Provincial Government (Pemprov) who mourned the passing of the former Slank manager who was said to have had great services for young Indonesians.

"On behalf of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, I am sorry for the death of our beloved mother, a woman whose services are extraordinary for the younger generation and very prominent, not only for her family and children, but for us Indonesian children," said Rano.

On this occasion, Rano admitted that he was surprised after learning the fact that the grandfather of Bimbim who is also the father-in-law of Iffet, was the first governor of Jakarta, Soemarno Sosroatmodjo.

"Moreover, I met Mas Bimbim earlier, I was a bit surprised that his grandfather was the first governor of Jakarta," said Rano.

"With my limited knowledge, it will be input for all of us, that it turns out that Bimbim and his family are part of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government," he added.

Rano also shared his meeting with the deceased in the past. While still serving as Governor of Banten, he had jointly provided socialization of the dangers of drugs.

"I've met him, but maybe it's been a long time, more than five years ago. When I was still the Governor of Banten, I met him for socialization about drugs in Banten Province," he said.

For information, Mrs. Iffet died at her residence on Saturday, April 26 at 22:42 WIB. The deceased was buried at the Karet Bivak TPU, Central Jakarta this afternoon.
