Anang Hermansyah Remembers Mother Iffet's Services At The Cemetery: "I Was Born In Potlot"

JAKARTA - Anang Hermansyah looked devastated while attending the funeral of Mother Iffet, who died on Saturday, April 26 at 22:42 WIB. The deceased was buried at the Karet Bivak TPU, Central Jakarta, this afternoon.

For Anang, the figure of Mother Iffet plays an important role in her career in the music world. He recalled how great the service of Bimbim Slank's biological mother was in helping her build a foothold in the entertainment industry.

"I want to testify for all my friends, that until today I was able to stand in this industry thanks to him," said Anang in a shaking voice.

Anang, who started his music career through the Gang Potlot neighborhood, Slank's legendary headquarters, told how he, a young man from Jember, was greeted with open arms by Mother Iffet.

"I'm not a Potlot person, I'm from a village in Jember. But I was given a bed at Potlot for two years with my friends. Until today I remember very well, how extraordinary is the kindness of an Iffet Mother," he continued.

Mother Iffet, said Anang, not only provided shelter, but also instilled the values of brotherhood and struggle in music. He taught the importance of togetherness, dedication, and belief that the profession of musicians is worth fighting for.

"He has a big dream, that this profession can be a way of life. That this profession is extraordinary," said Anang.

He also admired Mother Iffet's determination in supporting Slank through various storms of life, so that the band can remain strong until now.

Mother's strength believes that Slank will become a big band, even though it has to go through a difficult journey of life. To this day Slank remains standing, it is the strength of the belief of an Iffet Mother," said Anang.

Although now each other's success, communication between Anang, Slank, and Mother Iffet continues. Just exchanging news, sharing stories, or just to strengthen each other.

"Mother believes the Potlot community will make a big contribution to the Indonesian music industry. It was this belief that brought us all to life," concluded Anang with emotion.
