Sammy Simorangkir Launches Wide Wounds As Second Single Of Best Album

JAKARTA - Sammy Simorangkir launched the latest single entitled A wide wound'. This song is the second material that was first introduced before the album with the title 'Best' was officially released on May 9.

Alusive Luka was written by Sammy with Ade Govinda who also acts as producer. This song tells the story of someone who is at a point of great disappointment because of his sacrifice that ends in vain, even leaving only tears and very extensive wounds.

"Talking about 'A wide wound', if the wound is small, you might say it's a normal relationship, if the wound is a little big, maybe a dating relationship, but if the wound is wide, maybe from a marriage that has to be destroyed, a relationship that is sacred and recognized by the state but must end up separated," said Sammy when explaining the purpose of his latest single at a press conference in Kemang, South Jakarta, Friday, April 25.

Still with romance-themed songs, Sammy said, the inspiration for the song Adverse Luka originated from the many divorce news that often enlivens today's social media.

Just feeling it, listening to the news that is currently shocking the world of social media. Even those who are injured are not just ordinary people, but from the level of government people to the level of ordinary people can be injured. Because we are actually ordinary people," he said.

Regarding the album that will be officially released in the near future, the former Kerispatih vocalist said that the 'Best' will have eight songs that he will do under the auspices of the Pro-M music label.

If on your album there will be eight new songs, including those that came out yesterday with Ade Govinda, 'While Having Time', and those who come out now, 'A wide wound', said Sammy.

Regarding the big theme carried on the upcoming album, the singer, who has been active in the industry for 20 years, expressed his loyalty to present themes that have been attached and are usually listened to by listeners to date.

"Temanya tetap. Saya 20 tahun di industri ya memang dikenal dengan lagu-lagu hati dan cinta," ujarnya.
