Lee Ritenour Returns To Indonesia For Java Jazz Festival 2025

JAKARTA - BNI Java Jazz Festival 2025 (JJF2025) announced new names added as line up to celebrate the 20th edition which will be held at JIExpo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta on May 30 - June 1.

Of the 18 new names announced, the largest jazz music festival in Asia has again presented Lee Ritenour, a jazz guitar legend who has been in a career for more than five decades.

Ritenour is not a foreign name for Indonesian jazz music lovers. His works such as Rio Funk, 'Night Rhythms', to It's It You' were played a lot on the local stage. He also performed at Java Jazz in 2006, 2008, 2010, 2013, and 2018.

Apart from Ritenour, the foreign musicians who were also presented were: US singer-songwriter Umi; British musician Tara Lily and Thai band Tontrakul.

Meanwhile, the line-up is attractive to domestic dark, including: the collaboration of Gilang Ramadhan, Ivandiaman, Adi Darmawan in the Komodo Project; Dira Sugandi which features tribute to the queen of the world soul; Dwiki Dharmawan with the music project World Peace Band; Bintang Indrianto Trio; and Echa Soemantri & Friends.

In addition, there are also SOVA, RAN, Teddy Adhitya, Papua Original, Dua Empat, Galaxy Big Band, Arya Novanda & Kadri Flower Generation feat. Sack Brass, Batavia Collective, Thee Marloes, and MAC (Music Children Comment).

The names above complete a row of other previously announced musicians, namely Jacob Collier,RAYE, and Tune The voice of Lighthouse Family.

Then, other singers and groups are Snarky Puppy, Lettuse, TheTEN Wonder Celebration, Jose Miguel, Jeff Lorber, BPM (Brian Bromberg, Paul Brown, Michael Paulo), Tony Monaco, Kamasi Washington, Brian Simpson, Jesus Molina, Shakakak, Yun Seok Cheol Trio, Endah N Rhesa Extended, Nyoman Paul, Rahmania Astrini, Rieka Roslan & Nada Dara, Rizky Febian, Rony Parulian, Wijaya 80, Jordan Susanto, Nonaria x Horns Big Band, Aib Show, Syahravi and The Lantis, and many more to be announced in the near future.
