Rayen Pono: ACTION Without Ahmad Dhani Is Just A Dust Pill

JAKARTA - Rayen Pono became one of the participants in an open debate regarding the Copyright Law (UU Hak Cipta) organized by the All-Indonesian Compositers Association (AKSI) in Senayan, Central Jakarta on Thursday, April 10.

The former Pasto personnel stated that the biggest disappointment over the recent polemic of music copyright does not lie in what ACTION calls, but the position taken by Ahmad Dhani.

"If my friends pay attention to my social media, what I attack is not ACTION, what I criticize is Mas Dhani. Mas Dhani is my idol, the idol of all young Indonesians," said Rayen.

"For me today is a chivalrity discussion. Mas Kadri and I came here chivalrally even though it seemed as if our quotes were being ganged up on. But we didn't come to influence each other, no, it was all final," he continued.

Rayen said a big figure like Ahmad Dhani should have taken a position as a mediator in the debate regarding the Copyright Law. Instead, he saw the ACTION as an 'ordinary' association without the 19th Dewa frontman.

"My personal disappointment, Mas Dhani, with his capacity of this day, why not choose to be in the middle," he said.

"Don't be offended by other friends, for me, AKSI without Mas Dhani is a dust grain. Honestly, I have to say this so that I feel satisfied too and I come home relieved," he added.

Rayen, who is familiar with Hurricane who is one of the ACTION administrators admitted that at first he hoped that ACTION could become an association that had a good impact on the Indonesian music ecosystem. But over time, he admitted that he was disappointed.

"The storm has told me about this ACTION since two years ago and even three years ago, and I said crazy is delicious, this is a delicious concept. ACTION can be a hero (hero) for songwriters and create the music industry.
