Billy Joel announced that he had decided to postpone the show scheduled for this summer, including two major concerts in Edinburgh and Liverpool.

Meanwhile, the 75-year-old singer has just undergone surgery, and she has to undergo a recovery period for some time to come. Although details about medical procedures have not been disclosed, representatives say that Joel is expected to recover completely.

Through his social media accounts, Joel also apologized for the show that had to be postponed. He said there was no other choice but to prioritize his current health condition.

"Although I regret postponing all the concerts, my health must be prioritized," Joel said, citing an Instagram post caption, Wednesday, March 12.

The two shows in Great Britain (UK) are one of the biggest concerts to be held, with Gas Murrayfield being used as a venue for performances in Edinburgh and Anfield Stadium as a venue for performances at Liverpool.

For the first city, this will mark Joel's first time playing in the Scottish city after 46 years. For the second city, this will be his first time playing at Liverpool in 45 years.

With a reschedule, concerts in Edinburgh will take place on June 6, 2026, while concerts at Liverpool will take place on June 20, 2026.

All tickets purchased will automatically apply to rescheduled concerts. For those unable to attend, refunds will be available from the time of purchase.

Meanwhile, North America's performances including Detroit, Toronto,ung, and Salt Lake City will begin on November 15. Then, the show in Charlotte will take place on July 3, 2026, and for Milwaukee the date has not yet been determined.
