Thom Yorke And Mark Totaling Process Towards Collaboration Album

JAKARTA - Two exploratory musicians, Thom Yorke and Markmen agreed to work on a collaborative album. After releasing their single last month, they also prepared new songs as album material.

Before releasing the single together, the two of them had worked together in 2016. At that time Mark, who was the frontman of the band Smile, was involved in Thom's track titled Beautiful People.

Sharing the same interest in electronic and alternative music, the idea of working on an album titled Tall Tales was sparked. The album is projected to be released on May 9.

Thom and Mark introduced the single Back in the Game last February as opening dishes. And along with the announcement about the album, they shared a new track, This Conversation Is Missing Your Voice.

Mark sent me a large file containing ideas in the form of MP3 during the quarantine period. There were so many great ideas, I immediately knew that I had to stop doing what I was doing," Thom Yorke said of the initial idea of working on this collaboration album, citing Billboard, March 12.

Here they also collaborate with Jonathan Zawada as the director of the music video. The creative process just flows thanks to the chemistry that has been formed for several years.

"It feels like I've never been in a place like this before good when I'm wearing headphones and starting to try to find vocals, words and voices, but also, over time, watching Jonathan respond so freely and spontaneously with all his video ideas and artwork," he hoped.
