D'Masiv Departs To The United States Today To Appear In Musexpo 2025

JAKARTA - D'Masiv departed from Jakarta to California, United States today. They are scheduled to appear at the 2025 Musexpo, a conference and music exhibition held by A&R Worldwide to bring together music industry professionals from around the world.

Later, Rian (vocals), Rama (guitar), Kiki (guitar), Rai Dinata (bass), and Wahyu (drums) will appear and meet with record label executives, music publishers, artist managers, radio, streaming platforms, and media representatives.

"We will appear on March 16, the name of the Musexpo 2025 program," Rian told the media crew in Ciledug, South Jakarta, Monday, March 10.

So, this event is an annual event that has been held for 25 years. This event gave birth to many bands or world musicians, such as Katy Perry, Jessie J, Coldplay The Temper Trap, and Adele," he continued.

The vocalist said that the appearance would be the second opportunity for DMasiv. They have appeared at Musexpo last year. However, he said the presence of D Masiv in Musexpo this year would be very different. The reason is, they will perform on a better stage than last year.

"For the last year, we were just going to a showcase. At that time we were performing in extra time, so actually we only got slots at the end, so we didn't get exposure last year," said Rian.

"This year, thank God, because of the maximum performance last year, the A&R Worldwide finally invited DMasiv back, and we were given a slot at prime time, at 9 pm, and it has been confirmed that 250 players in the world music industry will witness it," he added.

Regarding his appearance later, the 38-year-old vocalist said that DMasiv will perform five to six songs, all of which use English lyrics.

"We got the opportunity for about 25-30 minutes, so maybe 5-6 songs that we will perform, and that's all the songs in English," said Rian. One song that we have released is Side By Side, the other is an unreleased song, which we have never released at all and we have never officially recorded it, only the demo version we have just recorded.
