Shakira canceled the show at Santiago, Chile for Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran Tour. The cancellation of the show at the Estadio Nacional for two nights, 2 and 3 March, only hours before the event.
"I'm so sad that I can't sing for you today for reasons beyond my control," Shakira wrote in a statement posted on Instagram Story.
The 48-year-old singer explained that there were security concerns related to stage production at the stadium. Cancellations had to be taken, even though tickets for the two shows had been sold out.
This is the second cancellation from Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran Tour in Latin America. Previously, Shakira canceled a show in Medellin, Colombia which was also due to a production problem after rescheduling due to the Hips Don't Lie singer having to be hospitalized.
"For my fans, those of you who have been with me for more than 30 years know better than anyone about my professional ethics and how much I try to always give my best to you. For a year I have worked tirelessly, day and night, in the smallest detail to achieve an unforgettable experience for my fans as they deserve and as we have been able to enjoy together during the concerts I have fought," Shakira said.
"You can imagine how painful it would be for me as an artist to see that after so much effort to come to this country that I love so much, my show in Chile on this occasion should be rescheduled because things are out of my control or my production," he continued.

Shakira said Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran Tour was her biggest world tour, designed through large-scale production, with a stage weighing 62 tons.
