JAKARTA - The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, two of the world's largest bands from England, won an award at the 2025 Grammy Awards which was held at the Crypto.com Arena, Los Angeles on Sunday, February 2 local time.

The Beatles, with remaining personnel Paul McCartney (bass, vocals) and Ringo Starr, won the Best Rock Performance category, with the song 'Now And Then'.

Meanwhile, The Rolling Stones, with remaining personnel Mick Jagger (vocals), Keith Richards (guitar), and Ricky Wood (guitar), won the Best Rock Album category, with the album "Hackney Diamonds".

Sean Ono Lennon, son of the late John Lennon, represented The Beatles for receiving the Grammy award. He tries to reflect on how the Beatles have done extraordinary things on their way.

"I really didn't expect to accept this award on behalf of my father's group, The Beatles. But, it's really amazing, if you think about it, I mean, The Beatles have done a lot of great work. And they are still in culture and people are still hearing the music. And as far as I'm concerned, they are the best bands of all time," said Sean.

"I think I should be here withur Martin, who combines (now And Then) with Paul, and he does an amazing job. I don't know, I just want to say, play Beatles music for your children. I feel the world can't forget people like The Beatles. We need their music in the world, like we need security and love, and we need a miracle of the 60s to stay alive," he continued.

The speech received lively applause from the people who attended the 67th Grammy Awards ceremony.

No less lively applause also occurred when Andrew Watt was on stage representing The Rolling Stones. He is the producer who worked on Mick Jagger cs's 24th studio album.

"Wow, this is really amazing. I spoke with Mick yesterday. I just want to express my deepest gratitude to (Recording) Academy, from all band members, Mick, Keith, Ron," Watt said.

The 34-year-old music producer also talked a little about the cooperation with The Rolling Stones that had shaken the world long before he was born.

"For a small boy who grew up playing guitar, it was one of the most amazing experiences to be around these musicians," Watt said.

I also want to express my deepest gratitude to my technician, Paul. You can't make an album without great technicians, as you know. And yes, Pearl Jam is also here and they are really great," he added.

What the Beatles and Stones have achieved this time proves that the big names that have been built for more than half a century are still very relevant for now. The two bands can prove that they can still produce something to remember.
