JAKARTA - Multi-platinum pop artist Tate McRae can't wait to share his third album titled So Close To What on February 21 via RCA Records. This album will describe various journeys through lyrics that are as accompanied by emotions as they are.

In addition, So Close To What also expresses stories about growing up when the road to be traversed in front seems unlimited and the ultimate goal becomes increasingly elusive. This is an introspective exploration of self-discovery, love, and balance search in times of uncertainty.

The moment of this announcement was accompanied by the launch of his new single which really stole the show, namely Sports car which was released together with his official music video, Friday, January 24. This song was written and produced with hits songrs such as Ryan Tedder (Taylor Swift, Beyoncé), Grant Boutin (Meghan Trainor, One Republic) and Julia Michaels (Selena Gomez, Dua Lipa).

This 'Sports car' video that can be considered provocative is directed by Bardia Zeinali (Sabrina Carpenter, Troye Sivan) and Tate Mcrae's Styling wardrobe by Brett Alan Nelson (Doja Cat, Karol G). This video follows Tate who plays a role as an audience into his dynamic world where there is interaction between High Fashion's world moments and his different characters.

Living in a society that is constantly watching and judging, Tate is an observer and taking control of his life back. Through his perspective, we are immersed in a strong interaction between style and identity, where Fashion becomes more than just clothing, it's a canvas for its ever-evolving identity. Each display tells a story, reflecting the different persona it embodies.

This new single is predicted to follow the success of the previous two singles, namely 2 hands" and It's ok I'm ok who occupy the #1 position on the Billboard's Hot Dance/Pop Songs charts and make the star the highest position for a debut song during his career on the Billboard Hot 100.

Next March, Tate will start his world tour of 'Miss Badminton Tour' which includes South America, Europe, the UK, and North America. Produced by Live Nation, the tour will begin on March 18 at the Pepsi Center, Mexico City, with performances in Srypto Paulo, London, Amsterdam, Prague, New York, Nashville, and many more before ending in Los Angeles in Kia Forum on September 26.

Benee will join as a supporting artist on all dates in Europe and England while Zara Larsson will join Tate on all dates in the US and Canada.
