All I Want For Christmas Is You From Mariah Carey Back To The Top Of The Song Chart

JAKARTA - Like previous years, Mariah Carey's iconic song entitled 'All I Want for Christmas Is You' was again heard at the end of this year.

As if to be a tradition, the song from the 1994 album 'Merry Christmas' is back in popularity when it enters December.

In the list of popular charts, Billboard Hot 100, Mariah Carey's song was back at the top, up nine places from her position last week.

According to Billboard, the music streaming service has put All I Want for Christmas Is You in the top position of the charts at the end of every year, since 2017.

The top position was won by this song in the last six years, with a record first position of three weeks in 2019, two weeks in 2020, three weeks in 2021, four weeks in 2022, and two weeks in 2023.

Mariah Carey is certainly the happiest person with this achievement. The diva expressed her gratitude for many people enjoying All I Want for Christmas Is You.

"When I wrote this song, I never thought the impact would be global," said the 55-year-old singer.

"I'm so grateful that so many people enjoy it with me every year," he continued.

All I Want for Christmas Is You is not the only song that returns to popularity when it enters the end of the year. Several Christmas-themed songs have also experienced the same thing, such as Bobby Helms' "Jingle Bell Rock" and "A Holly Jolly Christmas" from Burl Ives.

Not only Christmas-themed songs, several songs that include the word 'December' in the title and lyrics are also popular again, such as Taylor Swift's 'Back to December', Demi Lovato's 'Remember December', and Linkin Park'.

However, none of them had the effect of Mariah Carey's All I Want for Christmas Is You, which has been proven over the past three decades.
