Fitri Carlina Pays Off 15 Years Of Hard Work With First Victory Of The AMI Awards

Fitri Carlina is already very well known among dangdut music lovers, but this year's victory at the Anugerah Musik Indonesia (AMI) Awards is her first win.

Meanwhile, the celebration of the 27th AMI Awards took place at Ciputra Artpreneur, South Jakarta on Wednesday, December 4 yesterday.

Fitri Carlina managed to bring home her first trophy through the category of Best Electronic Dangdut Artist/Group/Collaboration with a single titled Aku Kangen Kamu.

The 37-year-old singer managed to outperform Azmy Z and Kalia Siska, the Wolf Duo, Ghea Youbi, and Gunawan.

Fitri is grateful for her victory this time. He felt that his consistency in music was paid off with this prestigious award.

"Alhamdulillah, after 15 years with Nagaswara (label), it was my flower's turn to bloom," Fitri Carlina told the media crew after the announcement of her victory.

"Because I never give up, I have the spirit to work. I have an ego, want to work from the heart, I don't want it to just go viral or maybe it's crowded in the market, everything I take out that is indeed moodful and in accordance with the heart," he continued.

Fitri expressed her even more happiness because the song that won her was a song specifically sung for her husband, Hendra Sumdeka.

"Alhamdulillah, this (song) was at the moment of my deepest feeling with my husband. This is a tribute to my loyal husband who supports me. Because of this song, 'I'm Kangen You', telling me my longing for my husband, we are LDR, thank God we got the award," he concluded.
