Bronze Launches New Single To Welcome Second Full Album

JAKARTA - Trio pop-rock from Jakarta, Bronze introduced a new single entitled 'But'. This song is Maul Ibrahim's first release (guitar, vocals), Adam Adenan (bass, vocals), and Ildo Hasman (drums, vocals) after the debut album, Memorandum which was released last 2022.

Single But tells how a mother's prayer has great magical energy in navigating urban life.

Maul, who wrote the lyrics, noted various processes and phases of life related to all his decisions, which have always been a puzzle for every human being. However, all forms of concern are actually the estuaries of strong faith when accompanied by prayers from a mother.

"The lyrics were written after talking about the grateful session and venting with my wife, just remember all the important steps in making crucial decisions in life," said Maul, through a press release received by VOI, Thursday, November 28.

"Including the decision to move, look for work, and live in Jakarta. Be firm but immediately believe in yourself thanks to the capital of the mother's prayer," he continued.

This single is Perunggu's early bridge to their second full album to come.

The work was assisted by Enrico Octaviano and Petra Sihombing, who are producers for the upcoming album. This collaboration was carried out based on the friendship and actions of the two producers who had produced hits for many local musicians.

Musically, the composition of But is different from other works on the album Memorandum. Starting from a more relaxed drum, lack of distortion on guitar, additional synth sound, and some modulation on vocal chants.

This update was deliberately carried out for the exploration of each personnel with various references, but Maul, Adam, and Ildo are still trying to make sure this latest song still sounds like Bronze, which is known to the listeners.
