JAKARTA - Present as a newcomer, the caldera has just launched its inaugural EP, Rona Merah Pipi Doesn't Always Mean Being Infiltrated today, Friday 15 November. Independently released, the EP of this caldera features five songs with various interesting nuances.

The Single 'Rabun' which was released at the end of last August is one of the material in it. The Indonesian music instrument, which is thick with vintage nuances, combined with a touch of bossa nova, and the vocals of the caldera who are famous throughout this mini album, take us all to a room full of nostalgia and the deepest outpouring of the heart.

The lyrics that caldera wrote along the EP are a combination of various conversations, poetry, and fragments of her mind which are then developed into five full songs, namely Resah, Renung, Rabun, Ranjang, and Rekah, each with its own unique story.

Each piece of the lyrics at the EP was collected by the caldera with its producer, Heston Prasetyo, to then tell the various stories that this EP brings. Starting from the secret stored by a woman, the struggle to be able to stand alone, to be described by us by someone, the meaning of true love, to the moment of a caldera being reborn when she has found herself.

For caldera, this inaugural EP aims to raise the curiosity of the listeners, through how we process our feelings and convey them according to what we want. Just like a caldera that transforms into itself as a whole through this EP.

These EP songs summarize a person's journey to become the real one. I hope all listeners can realize that life is rarely going smoothly. But as the currents that take us, we can finally find out who we really are to finally place ourselves as the heart of this journey," said the caldera in a press release received by VOI, November 15.

It seems like as with fate, the caldera believes that what does belong to us will later find us alone. "To finally feel full, hopefully we can really find ourselves," he concluded.

Last August the caldera released the single Rabun which became the first Caldera work in 2024 and became the first single of the EP Rona Merah Pipi doesn't Always mean 'tricked.

The caldera took the attention of Indonesian music lovers through the cover of Ismail Marzuki's 'Lose Painting' song which was displayed in the Netflix series of Kretek Girl and she brought it with Rei Naldy. Caldera's version of 'Lose Painting' has won nearly 1.4 million streams on Spotify since its release in October 2023.
