This Fallen Sevenfold Album Is 'Failed' But Proud For M. Shadows

JAKARTA - M. Shadows revealed their story regarding the album Fallen Sevenfold which 'failed' in the past. The album in question is The Stage which was released in 2016.

A7X implemented a different strategy when releasing the work. They try to follow in the footsteps of some top singers like Beyonce to release the album without previous promotions.

The Stage suddenly came out on October 28, eight years ago. The breakthrough step turned out to bring results far from expectations. In terms of numbers, many say this album is the most 'failed' for M. Shadows et al.

In the first week of debut, the album's sales only reached half of the previous albums such as Nightmare and Hail to The King. Shadows had expressed regret in one of the interviews.

"Right now we have mixed feelings. We know we can do boring preparations and take the No. 1, when you make preparations for three months, you put pre-order, single sales, etc. into the first week," the vocalist told Inc.com shortly after the album's release., quoted from Loudwire, October 30.

But that regret turned into a sense of pride eight years later. Currently, M. Shadows actually feels proud of the courage taken by the Averaged Sevenfold for the album.

"I'm withdrawing my words now... That's not possible in any other way and I'm very proud of this album and how it's released," wrote M. Shadows replying to user uploads X on October 28, coinciding with the 8th anniversary of The Stage album.

Despite sluggish sales, the album was done wholeheartedly by the personnel of the Averaged Sevenfold. They may not regret it, and instead make it one of the valuable experiences in a musical career.
