JAKARTA - Live Nation and SJM as promoters of the Oasis 'Live 25' reunion concert will cancel more than 50 thousand tickets for performances in the UK listed on the secondary platform.

All canceled tickets will be available again for sale through the official platform, Ticketmaster, at an initial selling price.

It is known that 1.4 million tickets were sold when Oasis announced a British tour, with more than 10 million fans from 158 countries lining up.

But in just an hour, thousands of tickets appeared on other selling sites at a much higher price.

Ticket cancellations were carried out by promoters to fight price inflation and prevent fraudulent ticket sales. The reason is, four percent of tickets sold end up on other sales sites.

For any fan who believes that their ticket was canceled due to an error, they can talk to the relevant ticket agents for their case to be investigated.

Despite warnings from promoters, leading secondary ticket companies such as Viagogo said they would continue to sell tickets for the tour.

"Two percent of Oasis tickets are in Viagogo and Stubhub," said Matt Drew, who oversees business development for Viagogo.

"We will continue to sell them in the manner set by regulators. We serve clear consumer needs, we will continue to do so on that basis," he stressed.

For information, the 'Live' will be Noel and Liam Gallagher's first tour with Oasis since 2009. The series will start at Cardiff on July 4, 2025, then continue to Manchester, London, Edinburgh, and Dublin.

Oasis will also appear in other countries, including the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Australia.

Last month, Oasis announced that it would stop setting dynamic prices for their reunion tours in America, after causing unacceptable experience" for fans in the UK.

This system raises the price of concert tickets at a high demand. When Oasis tickets in the UK go on sale, some fans are charged double the starting price.

Oasis faces a strong reaction from fans, and British competition regulators are conducting an investigation into Ticketmaster over alleged violations of consumer protection.

In a statement announcing the dates of concerts in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, the band's managers said they wanted to "avoid a repeat of the problems fans face in the UK and Ireland.
