Gibson Introduces Jimmy Page's Special Edition Guitar With Limited Number

JAKARTA - Jimmy Page is known as one of the most influential guitarists in the world. Together with Led Zeppelin, his game has been an inspiration for many musicians afterward.

With the big name Page, it's no surprise that Gibson, who celebrates 130 years since its formation, decided to work together and produce a special edition guitar.

The guitar manufacturer from the United States announced that he had produced two guitar series, namely Jimmy Page 1964 SJ-200 and the 1964 SJ-200 Collector Edition from Gibson Custom.

Gibson SJ-200 itself became Page's choice in the mid-1960s, while recording Led Zeppelin's first album.

He also used it when appearing on the Julie Felix Show on April 26, 1970, with the songs "White Summer" and Black Mountain Side.

Only a few guitarists have shaped the history of rock music like the legendary Jimmy Page. When recording the iconic first album Led Zeppelin, Jimmy's choice of acoustic guitar was Gibson SJ-200 in the mid-60s, a distinctive instrument that was heard on several tracks on the monumental record, "wrote Gibson Custom, citing an Instagram post caption, Thursday, October 24.

It becomes more special because only 50 units are produced for the 1964 SJ-200 Collector Edition and 100 units for the Jimmy Page 1964 SJ-200, which will be available worldwide in limited editions.

Meanwhile, the limited edition Jimmy Page 1964 SJ-200 was made by hand by luthier experts and polished artisticly by Murphy Lab in the Cherry Tea Sunburst color.

Based on the official website, Jimmy Page 1964 SJ-200 is sold at a price of $19,999 or equivalent to Rp311.5 million. Meanwhile, other series are sold at a price of $13,000 or equivalent to Rp202.4 million.
