Rapper El Taiger Dies After A Week Of Criticality In Hospital

Manuel Carbajal Zald Badvar, better known as the El Taiger stage, passed away on Thursday, October 10 last week. The Cuban-born rapper breathed his last at the age of 37.

It is known that the rapper died from a gunshot wound to his head.

Previously, El Taiger was found shot in a black Mercedes SUV in Miami, Florida on October 3. He was rushed to hospital and underwent emergency surgery.

Meanwhile, El Taiger's representative has confirmed the death of the rapper.

"During this very difficult time, family, friends, and followers gathered in prayer, hope, and support, looking for miracles. To all those who have prayed, we thank you. Unfortunately, this afternoon, El Taiger was declared dead and has now reunited with his beloved mother in heaven, "said El Taiger's representative, quoting NME, Monday, October 14.

His family wants to express their deepest gratitude to the medical team at Jackson Memorial Hospital for their tireless efforts, as well as to the millions of people who gave prayers and respect during his hospitalization.

It was stated that the people closest to Taiger had had a difficult time in the last few days. They also thanked those who had supported them.

As for the Taiger shooting, Mike Vega, Miami police spokesman, said it was unclear whether the shot was made on its own, but added that they were not sure the incident occurred at the location where the rapper was found.

"Our officers are investigating because we think this is not the case in the city of Miami," Vega said.

El Taiger's manager, Marcel Reinosa responded to the comments by telling CBS News Miami that, "Nobody in the team believes he committed suicide, based on what they said about the bullet."

"The bullet was in front of his head, so I really doubted someone was going to shoot himself and then climbed into the back of the trunk of his own car.

For information, El Taiger became famous in the world of reggaeton, by releasing albums such as Engagement (2017), Amen (2019), Blychy (2020), Everglades (2022) and La Ostia (2023).

He also collaborated with several artists, such as Niko G, DJ Unic and The Yabo.
