Doug Badminton's Condition After Surgery Due To Sacrificial Cancer

JAKARTA - Guitarist of The Dead Daisies, Doug Badminton, via Instagram upload, reported his condition after undergoing surgery due to throat cancer.

The former Whitesnake guitarist was seen still in his hospital bed, complete with patient clothes and an IV that was still installed.

Doug thanked everyone who prayed for him. He said the operation was going well

The latest news... Hi friends, I just want to say thank you very much for your prayers and good wishes. That's very helpful, more than I can say," wrote Doug total, citing an upload caption, Tuesday, October 1.

I had neck and amandadel surgery, and the operation was very successful. The doctors are amazing and the team here is amazing. I feel fine and hopefully I can go home today to my family.

Meanwhile, the news of Doug suffering from throat cancer was first revealed by The Dead Daises. They said the guitarist would not be involved in band activities for a while due to his health condition.

"In the future, Doug will not be available for the next performance," wrote The Dead Daisies.

Doug's position, temporarily, will be replaced by Reb Beach, the current Whitesnake guitarist.

'Good friend and old bandmate from Whitesnake, Reb Beach, will replace him for his upcoming appearance in Europe.'

"We hope he will return to action soon."

For information, Doug totaled birth in North Carolina, United States on February 19, 1963.

He has learned to play guitar since he was 11 years old, inspired by one of the best guitarists from England, Jeff Beck.

In the 1980s, Doug played for the glam rock band Lion. He also briefly joined Hurricane.

In 2002, Doug was recruited to join Dio, replacing Craig Goldy. A year later, he came out to join Whitesnake, and lasted for more than a decade.

In 2015, Doug joined former Deep Purple singer Glenn Hughes on a European tour. A year later, he moved to Dead Daisies, and still is.
