JAKARTA - Two British singers, Ed Sheeran and Chris Martin, performed together on one stage at the 2024 Global Citizen Festival music event which took place in New York, United States on Saturday, September 28 local time.

Ed and Chris appeared as surprises for the audience who attended. They played on the small stage with a simple arrangement.

"Do you still remember the surprise guests we told you?" wrote Global Citizen in an Instagram Story upload, sharing photos of Ed and Chris.

Ed Sheeran through his Instagram account also shared a video showing a rare moment of himself collaborating with the Coldplay vocalist.

Coldplay duel song, wrote Ed in the caption.

In the video, Ed and Chris can be seen trying to train the song 'Viva La Vida' in a room.

Next, Ed and Chris went on stage, performing songs that had been trained before. Both of them played guitar, without any other musicians being accompaniment.

It doesn't stop there. After Coldplay's song, now it's Ed Sheeran's turn to be performed.

Chris sat in front of his keyboard. He accompanied Ed who sang 'Thinking Out Loud' in front of thousands of spectators.

It is known that the two singers are still performing two other songs, namely Yellow from Coldplay and Shape Of You from Ed Sheeran.

Meanwhile, Chris Martin's presence at the event has indeed been announced, but not to sing, but as a guest speaker.
