JAKARTA - The musician from India, AR Rahman, who is planned to appear at a concert titled AR Rahman Live in Jakarta at Sentul International Convention Center on October 26, has certainly canceled his appearance.

The cancellation of AR Rahman's concert was announced by Rajawali Indonesia as a promoter through an official statement uploaded on Instagram.

"The King of Indonesia, as the promoter, has a heavy heart to announce the postponement of the AR Rahman Live in Jakarta concert which was originally scheduled to take place on October 26, 2024 at Sentul International Convention Center," read Rajawali Indonesia's statement, Wednesday, September 25.

The decision was taken due to technical challenges that hindered the holding of concerts as planned on the previously announced date and location.

"We have made every effort to present AR Rahman's spectacular performance in Indonesia. However, after conducting in-depth discussions on the technical difficulties we faced, we together with AR Rahman's management have decided to postpone this concert," said Anas Alimi, founder of Rajawali Indonesia.

Because the concert was canceled, the promoter gave full refunds to all ticket holders.

Tickets purchased for the AR Rahman Live in Jakarta concert will be returned within 14 days of the announcement being made, no later than October 12, which will be carried out by Rajawali Indonesia.

For information, AR Rahman was initially chosen as the headliner for the 2024 Prambanan Jazz Festival which took place in the Prambanan Temple area on July 5-7, but Rajawali Indonesia, who is also the promoter for the event, announced that the musician had canceled his appearance.

As a substitute, the promoter decided AR Rahman to appear in a single concert in Jakarta, which is currently confirmed to be canceled.
