JAKARTA - Giring Ganesha has just released an extended play (EP) titled "Serigala" as a marker of his comeback to the music world as a soloist. This mini album contains three songs, namely Dare, Serigala, and Candu.

The song titled Serigala is interesting to note. The former vocalist Nidji discussed the theme of betrayal from someone close to him, who was described as a wolf with a human mask. This song captures the feeling of being trapped in a fake world, where friends become an unexpected source of injury.

The lyrics are so firm about treason, the pain is stabbed by his own friend / Sadis / Sadis.

On the other hand, Nidji also talked about how the betrayal would affect him, "Govern the universe that answers/the universe that answers/the universe that retaliates."

Giring wrote his own new song, with the help of Enrico Octaviano and Dimas Mufli Utomo as producers.

The 41-year-old singer also talked about what kind of meaning she slipped behind her new song.

"Serigala" is a song about betrayal. When we are betrayed, yes, there is no need to be betrayed again, balesnya with love. Because remember, the universe exists, God is always there. The important thing is to do good, God willing, there have been good things," said Giring to the media crew in Kuningan, South Jakarta recently.

As if he realized that many listeners' interpretations of his new song, Giring asked that the meaning of the song "Serigala" not be related to anything else.

"Go back again, the song 'Serigala' should not be related to anything else," he said.
