JAKARTA - Giring Ganesha, a former vocalist, Nidji, decided to soloize his career by launching an extended play (EP) or a mini album titled Serigala, which contains three new songs with the titles Serigala, Dare, and Candu.

The mini album Serigala is proof of Giring's recent statement stating his desire to be active in music after no longer serving as General Chair of political parties.

Giring called this EP the beginning of a bigger plan. He has prepared other songs to follow his comeback this time.

These three songs are part of the 20 songs that we want to release next year. I want to release this later, 20 songs, only Musica (label) has a different strategy," said Giring in Kuningan, South Jakarta, Monday, September 23.

The recording process for three songs until it was released to the public went so fast. Giring admitted that he was surprised by the response of the label who was trying so hard that this EP could be launched to the public as soon as possible.

I was also surprised, the timeline was really tight. In the midst of my busy life, I try to sometimes take vocals until two in the morning, the next morning I have another meeting. So trying half to die, how can these three songs be released first," he said.

Meanwhile, 'Serigala' as the main track, discusses the theme of betrayal from those closest to you, which is described as a wolf with a human mask. This song captures the feeling of being trapped in a world full of fakes, where friends become an unexpected source of injury.

Despite suffering, the character in this song tries to maintain his love as a principle of life in the midst of darkness. "Singigala" is a reflection of how a person faces betrayal and continues to try to stand firm with the principles of love in the midst of a poisonous environment.

Next, 'Dare' is an inspiring song to face separation and life change with courage. Giring invites listeners to dare to admit differences and accept the fact that not all relationships can last forever.

This song advised to continue dancing and burning even in sadness, and to dare to be reborn after facing grief. 'Dare' reminds that loss is part of the journey, and that what is lost can always be replaced with new, better things.

The last song, 'Candu', Giring explores the addictive side of love. This song tells of someone who finds escape and healing in love with his lover. A loved one is likened to an addiction, which is the center of life and coverage of the passion of life.

The lyrics are poetic, to capture emotional dependence and the need to return to loved ones as the only source of happiness and healing. This song depicts a deep and dependent love, where a lover becomes home and a place for a hurt heart.
