Feby Putri Introduces Second Album, Black And White Through Hearing Session

JAKARTA - Feby Putri held a hearing session to introduce her second album titled "Hitam Putih" which will be officially released on Thursday, September 26.

The 24-year-old songwriters invited fans and media crews to first listen to the eleven songs on their new album.

Feby appeared in all white clothes. With the songs played according to the sequence, he demonstrated every story presented through these songs.

"This album is a series of my stories on overseas. So, this is very personal," said Feby Putri after a hearing session in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta on Monday, September 23.

Although'monitoring' is still a big theme, similar to the album Riuh (2022), this album presents a different side.

"Actually, this second album is still about the journey of an immigrant. An immigrant who is mature enough," he said.

"Because on the album Riuh I tell about me who is 18 years old, as an immigrant is still confused, shocked. Then now on the Black and White album, I'm old enough to understand myself and the way the world works," he added.

Feby chose the title "Hitam Putih" as a parable of grief and sincerity, a light and dark journey of life that brings many lessons in getting to know yourself.

"Hitam Putih is because there are songs that I describe in black, there are songs that I describe in white," said the woman from Makassar.

"If it's black, I interpret it as the color of my sadness, my sadness over my problems in life and sadness because of the grief that has existed in 2023. So, this Black and White album can be said to be all about my sadness in 2023-2024. If it's 'white', I interpret it as a color of relief, independence, and sincerity," he continued.

Black and White involve many producers with different backgrounds. They are Lafa Pratomo, Enrico Octaviano, Vega Antares, Iga Massardi, Adam Febrian, Eky Rizkani, and Eunike Tanzil.

"On the second album I really wanted to explore my music, not the same genre as the previous album. Maybe it's too early for exploration, but I actually want to enrich my music genre."
