Unique Collaboration Reza Arfandy With Ashley Hammel And Anov Blues One At Single Bad Boi

JAKARTA - Reza Arfandy, the guitarist of Strolling Wizards, collaborated with folk singer Ashley Hamel and blues musician Anov Blues One. They present a single entitled "Bad Boi", which combines blues rock elements with intensive beat house music nuances.

Through his written statement, Reza Arfandy said that the lyrics of "Bad Boi" tell of a rich man who often feels the most great and naughty and always tries to attract the attention of women.

"In fact, in fact, he is a spoiled child who is still being financed by his parents. Still using his papa and mama facilities," said Reza Arfandy.

Looking at the reference side of the music, Reza explained that this song was inspired by the color of the delta blues music with simple instruments, namely vocals, guitars, and drums. The whole creation process was carried out collectively in a short time.

In this collaboration, Reza is responsible for composing the notation and filling out the guitar rhythm. Meanwhile Ashley Hamel acted as a lyricist and vocalist, while Anov Blues One as a music arranger and played 1 string guitar slide.

Reza Arfandy himself is known among musicians as guitarist for the duo blues Strolling Wizards unit who has released a number of works in the form of singles, including "Cherry Girl", "Fading Magnolia", "Forever More", "I'm OK" and "high", as well as a mini album nicknamed "Stelling Wizards".

On the other hand, Ashley Aisyah Hamel is a solo singer born in Connecticut who has also released many musical works. Among them is the single "SoulSTAmp" worked on with Anov Blues One, the eccentric guitarist who owns dozens of works famous for his "canggul guitar".

Reza, Ashley and Anov's meeting took place in 2023 by a mutual friend. From that conversation, the idea emerged to release collaboration.

"We were first met by Gina Aghnia around 2023 at one of Jakarta's music venues. A year later, we decided to collaborate and create this song," said Anov Blues One.

Released under the auspices of Blues One Records label, Reza Arfandy's "Bad Boi" single, Ashley Hamel, and Anov Blues One can now be listened to on various digital player platforms starting Friday, September 13.
