Match Barsena Bestandhi With The Song Of A New Space That Becomes OST My Annoying Brother

JAKARTA - In 2024 it will be a productive moment for Barsena Bestandhi who has released three songs. After 'Like the Sea to the Sky' and 'One Doesn't Grow Anymore', the third song entitled 'New Room' was officially introduced.

This song was written by Barsena with Hendro Djasmoro, a figure who often writes songs for the soundtrack-soundtrack of Indonesian films. New room is lined up to become the original soundtrack My Annoying Brother (produced by CJ ENM, Lifelike Pictures, and BASE Entertainment), the Korean adaptation film of the same name, played by Vino G. Bastian, Angga Yunanda, Caitlin Halderman, and Kristo Immanuel.

Barsena and Hendro were inspired to write songs about separation, without an element of sadness in the tone and message in it. According to him, this song was indeed matched with him for certain reasons.

This song was written for someone else to sing, but it didn't happen. Finally, I performed it. I think, my New room, both in terms of tones, melodies, and the contents of the message, "said Barsena in a written broadcast.

Apart from Hendro Djasmoro, musicians Mikha Angelo and Fellow Amateurs also joined the production process of the 'New Room'. The slick collaboration also gave satisfactory results, until a special scene was made in the film.

We chose Mikha Angelo and Fellow Amateurs as the only candidates to produce, even, before the 'New Room' finished as a demo. We think they represent the simplicity of this song. After the demo was over, we sent it to the producers of the film My Annoying Brother and they immediately liked it. In fact, adding a scene that wasn't in the Korean version specifically for this New Room, added Barsena.

Barsena's 'New Room' was released on September 13, 2024 simultaneously across the digital streaming platform. The film My Annoying Brother is ready to be shown in Indonesian cinemas starting October 24.
