JAKARTA - Maliq & D'Essentials returned to the Merdeka Palace to enliven the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia. The 22-year-old band appeared at the flag lowering event on Saturday, August 17 afternoon.

Reporting from ANTARA via live streaming broadcasts on the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube channel, their appearance was greeted enthusiastically by invited guests, who also felt the enthusiasm and joy of the music that was performed.

Maliq & D'Essentials performed by performing the song "Menja Teduh Pelita," which is the original work of their own. The song was performed before the flag-lowing ceremony began.

The combination of harmonious sound and musical arrangements typical of Maliq & D'Essentials has succeeded in creating a warm and liquid moment in the midst of the solemn state event.

The atmosphere became even more lively when the band appeared again after the flag-lowing ceremony procession.

The viral song "Kita Makes Romantic" has succeeded in making invited guests rise from their seats to move the body to the rhythm.

A bright smile can be seen on the faces of the invited guests, most of whom are seen enjoying the moment by singing together.

Maliq & D'Essentials made the atmosphere even more lively through a number of their popular songs such as "He", "Silently", "Aduh", " Romantical drama", and "Dancing".

The invited guests seemed to spill to the field area of the Merdeka Palace to sway together to enjoy the melodious strains of two vocalists Angga Puradiredja and Rivani Indriya Suwendi.

The song entitled "My Choice" closed the stunning appearance of the jazz genre band from Jakarta in a series of ceremonies to lower the flag of the 79th Indonesian Independence Day at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta.

Not only Maliq & D'Essentials, HIVI band! also appeared to add to the excitement of the event. They performed two main songs, namely "The Only One" created by Febrian Nindya Purbawisesa, and "Since Ada Dirimu" by Yovie Widianto.

These two songs bring a cheerful and romantic feel, which makes the atmosphere of the Merdeka Palace even more lively.

This year's series of agendas to commemorate the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia was held in two locations simultaneously and connected (hybrid), namely at the State Palace of the Capital City of the Archipelago (IKN) and at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta.
