JAKARTA - The music unit from Tangerang, Say: Kou released their second single titled Incomplete. Released on August 9, this alternative rock genre band expresses a sense of vacancy and heartbreak in its music.

The heartbreak of a person who has been left by his partner after years is the main spirit of this song. The incident left a sense of vacuum so that he felt useless and could do nothing, like there was a part of him that was missing, which made him feel incomplete.

The unique fact is, this song was written by Fauzy, the vocalist because he saw many similar incident phenomena among young people.

Actually, I just had fun writing this song. Because I saw that on social media there were so many people who were confused, so I thought about wanting to write songs whose theme was confused. But it turns out that a few months later, what I wrote in this song became a reality and it happened to my own relationship. So this song is very personal to me, hehehe," explained the frontman who is familiarly called Oji.

Membering Fauzy (vocals), Eko (guitar), Agung (bass), and Hanif (drums), Say: Kou worked on this song collectively starting from a voice note recording.

"For the filling of drums, Oji wants it to be simple. It's just that I can't do it at least if it's simple. At least give a little face-to-face to make the song more varied and colorful. After several discussions and ponds here and there, finally I got the drum filling which I think is suitable for this song," Hanif added.

Incomplete was recorded in two different places. The drum session was recorded at 37 music studios in the Karawaci area, Tangerang. Meanwhile, guitar, vocals, and bass were recorded in Bima's private home studio aka @birubyrubi, who also worked on mixing and mastering and added other elements such as synthesizer, orchestra, and others in this song.

Incomplete is one of the songs in the EP/Mini Album series which is being worked on by Say:Kou and is targeted for release in the near future.

Say: Kou (the risk) is a band from Tangerang which is currently in the Japanese Rock genre music scene (usually called Japangan/J-Rock) since mid-2015 and often appears at Japanese cultural festivals (mathsuri) and other Jejepangan music events.

Their own existence has been running for 10 years on the indie music line, Say: Kou has experienced several changes of personnel until finally it runs in the current formation and starts working on original works.
