BALI - Island Vibes Reggae Party is ready to be the answer amid the scarcity of large-scale reggae music events. This event will take place at Mertasari Beach, Sanur area, Denpasar City, Bali Province on July 31.
EQ Puradiredja as the producer of this event hopes that this will be a collaboration tour of reggae musicians to entertain rege lovers as well as revive rege music in the country.
"Island Vibes Reggae Party actually emerged from a conversation among musicians about how to revive Indonesian rege music. Friends have the same spirit," he said as quoted by ANTARA.
The Island Vibes Reggae Party concert will feature rege musicians such as Richard D Gilis, S2B Family, Alvons Freedom, Lawa Amq, Kamga, Good Vibration, Radit Echoman, and Coconuttreez.
Marapu, Type-X, Tony Q Rastafara, Shaggydog, Rub of Rub, Dhyo Haw, The Nameks, The Paps, Momonon, Ras Muhammad, Marijuh, Glorious Friends, Amtenar, and Arbie Seo will also appear at the concert.
EQ Puradiredja said that the Island Vibes Reggae Party was originally targeted to attract 3,000 to 5,000 spectators.
However, after seeing the public's interest in watching similar performances in eight cities, the committee targeted concerts in Sanur to be watched by up to 7,000 spectators.
Tickets for the Island Vibes Reggae Party concert in Sanur are sold at a price of IDR 50,000 per person and can be purchased through the islandvibesmusic.id website.
The committee also prepared ticket sales services at the location of the show, a price of Rp. 25,000 per special person for spectators who attended before 17.00 WITA.
In addition to presenting the show, Island Vibes produced collaboration albums from a number of Indonesian rege musicians.
The album's song "Don't Be Abis" has been available on digital music platforms since June 28, 2024.
"The process is very organic. With the support of friends from Gili Trawangan, a collaborative album appears with extraordinary capacities," said EQ Puradiredja.
