JAKARTA - Salihara International Performing Arts Festival or SIPFest 2024 is back to greet art connoisseurs. This event will take place at Salihara Arts Center, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta on 2-31 August.
Dozens of music, dance, and theater artists from within and outside the country will appear in the form of performances and workshops with their respective theme.
Nirwan Dewanto as Director of the Salihara Arts Center Community Program said this event was presented as recreation, where arts and culture came with joy and independence.
SIFest 2024 is a arena for artists and the audience to share creativity, novelty and joy. An effort to develop another order, which is unusual. said Nirwan Dewanto in an official statement.
The New Art Organization has become a jargon in SIPFest this year. Nirwan explained that the art order in question can invite us to renew ourselves and open up creative spaces that are closed by official power,
'Article not only overcomes politics, but also fills spaces that are not filled with politics. Art provides alternatives to clich and scene that are peddled by politics. Art invites us to renew ourselves and our society. Art is tempting, surprising, as well as fun. Opening the spaces of creativity that are covered with official power. We dream of other orders through art,' said Nirwan.
