This song became Rony's 3rd single during his career in the Indonesian music industry. Before the single 'Angin Rindu', this Indonesian Idol talent search event for season 12 had released the songs 'Why' and 'full of Heart' with Andi Rianto. Uniquely, in this single 'Angin Rindu' Rony Parulian wrote the song himself.

This song was written by Rony in early 2024, which was inspired by his experience. At that time he felt a deep longing for many people, many moments, and many things he used to do.

This song is indeed based on the word 'wind', because we are unconsciously able to go anywhere, this song tells about the past but still be grateful for what God has now given. In the end, I tried to create this song and expand people's views about the meaning of the word longing that is more universal, not only aimed at lovers but also for family, relatives or friends. I wrote it down when I was feeling missing with my family, meeting friends, missing the familiarity that is usually done with friends. At that time there was also a moment of longing for a gig and missing the excitement of meeting WeR1 (Roony fans). So his feelings were raging, because he missed many things," said Rony in a written broadcast.

Rony Parulian teamed up with S/EEK as a producer unit. They arranged this song somewhat differently through the feel of rock ballad. Rony Parulian's vocal character is very supportive of the music he wants to present in this single.

For the MV, Rony Parulian collaborated with Kolmar Films to work on it. Apart from himself, Chandeirdra also played this video music. Meanwhile, Idho Aruan acted as the director.
